A group of Muslim entrepreneurs have come together (dfwmuslimentrepreneurs.com) with the goal of empowering Muslims to network and build great businesses. This is a conference developed “by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs” with all proceeds to be donated to charity. The team consists of entrepreneurs who have built strong teams, raised capital and even sold companies – all of whom want to give back to the community by mentoring young entrepreneurs and investing in local Muslim startups.
In April of this year, the team sent out a survey asking for feedback on a potential conference. The survey received 144 responses with overwhelmingly positive results and they therefore decided to move forward with planning the conference.
Set for January 11th, the event is taking place at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Plano. Tickets can be bought from the Facebook event page at “DFW Muslim Entrepreneurs: The 2020 Conference” or from dfwmuslimentrepreneurs.com. Use our special code “IrvingMuslim” for $50 off your ticket!
The itinerary begins promptly at 9am with breakfast and a welcome address. There will be panels and lectures until lunch time followed by lunch and time for networking and meeting fellow entrepreneurs and investors. Shaikh Omar Suleiman will be joining and giving a khatira after Salah Dhuhr as well.
Speakers include experienced entrepreneurs and business executives such as Tahir Hussain, who currently serves on the board of the UT Dallas Entrepreneurship Council, Ibrahim Abed, Vice President at Crescent Foods, Yasmeen Tadia, CEO of Make Your Life Sweeter and many others.
More than a dozen investors will be attending the conference, and attendees can sign up for a 15 minute session with an investor to pitch their business idea and walk out with a business plan and possibly even funding.
Proceeds for the conference will go to supporting local charities in DFW. Don’t forget to use our code for $50 off!
